boredomresearch have been exploring, for two decades of artistic practice, the natural world through the medium of computational technologies. Their latest project, Robots in Distress, consists in a swarm of self-organising robots that monitor the environmental status of the Venetian Lagoon.

This 31st March 2017, Le Pass (Scientific Adventure Park, Frameries) is opening its WOW ZONE, a new space dedicated to digital culture. Five interactive artworks have been selected following a call for projects, to be exhibited for the next five years in the WOW ZONE.

Among these five pieces, two have been through a residency at iMAL....

In March 2017, iMAL and Packed start a two-year research collaboration funded by Innoviris, the Brussels Institute for Research and Innovation to develop methods, tools and services for the preservation of digital-born content, as well as their public access through a new kind of media library for digital artefacts.

In the continuation of the symposium Blockchain.Fact.Fiction.Future and its hacklab in November 2016, a Brussels community emerged : BlockchainFFF. Gathering developers, artists, designers, activists,...its goal is to continue exploring the blockchain and to develop projects. The first meeting will happen this Saturday 10 December, from 13:00 to 18:00 at iMAL !
