XYZ
—
In 2012, iMAL opens its Fablab, the first digital fabrication space in Brussels geared towards artistic creation. The XYZ showcase highlights a selection of projects made by our members and residents between 2018 and 2021. An opportunity to also discover the different stages of experimenting, creating and producing typical of the mindset of our Fablab!
Fablab iMAL aims to be a place for learning and experimenting, particularly through its programme of workshops and residencies. Its philosophy, centred around knowledge sharing, diy culture and open source communities, also deals with current societal issues: how to produce, recycle, prototype, and repair on a local level.
The wide variety of tools offered to our members fosters the blending of practices and the development of a broad diversity of projects. Artists, designers and other people regularly work alongside an attentive team, with a shared goal: to produce and experiment autonomously, building on each other's knowledge.
Our Fablab is supported by Fondation Orange
iMAL and the iMAL Fablab are supported by the European Region.
