NaturArchy: finissage

We invite you to join us this weekend for the finissage of the NaturArchy exhibition. The closing weekend proposes free entry to the show from 15:00 onwards as well as guided tours & events not to be missed.

The exhibition curators will be in town all weekend. Come by and take your chance to walk through the show with one of them to get all the insights, anecdotes and stories behind the production and research of the works on view. Enjoy a water cocktail at the haunted water bar, play with the complex network of a plant-pollinator system, contribute to the Compos[t]ing Knowledge Map with your own soil poem, experience the feeling of an approaching tipping point, appreciate a mushroom’s speech at the European Parliament, and more.

After NaturArchy: what Art and what Rights for Nature?

Starting from a discussion on the achievements of the NaturArchy exhibition and process of curating 15 artists within the framework of SciArt’s Resonances cycle, this panel wants to open up conversation between the team behind NaturArchy and the audience.

Pose your questions and reflections, be they regarding the status of the rights of nature and how art and curation can contribute to this urgently needed and still growing shift. Or how artists experience the process of working at science for policy level, or how local communities can become further involved in museums settings, we look forward to expanding thoughts and inputs around the whole process of NaturArchy.

With:

  • Adriaan Eeckels, JRC SciArt Project Leader) - moderator
  • Ingeborg Reichle, Curator, one of the NaturArchy curators
  • Caterina Benincasa, JRC SciArt Project Curator, one of the NaturArchy curators
