Daniel Rourke

Bio
In his work Daniel exploits speculative and science fiction in search of a radical ‘outside’ to the human(ities), including extensive research on the intersection between digital materiality, the arts, and posthumanism. In his artistic practice Daniel devises and creates collaborative platforms that promote open and critical discourse on the topics of media theory and posthumanism.

#Additivism
In March 2015 artist & activist Morehshin Allahyari and Daniel Rourke released The 3D Additivist Manifesto: a call to push technologies beyond their breaking point, into the realm of the provocative and the weird. The project was the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Vilém Flusser Residency for Artistic Research, Berlin. The resulting 3D Additivist Cookbook – composed of the work of over 100 artists, designers and theorists – was published as a free 3DPDF on December 2nd 2016.

Activities

2017
