Vincent Evrard

Vincent Evrard vit et travaille à Bruxelles. il enseigne la programmation à l'ESA Saint Luc (Bruxelles).

Il est titulaire d'un baccalauréat en Design Graphique de l'ESA Saint Luc (Liège) et d'un Master en en Art Numérique et Typographie de l'ERG (Bruxelles).

  • Au cours du quel il réalise un travail sur la thématique de la symbolisation d'Internet par le nuage. ( http://fixerlesnuages.ogre.be ).
  • Ainsi que l'installation «Aphrogenea», présentation du passage d'une cellule depuis le monde numérique vers le monde réel.

Naviguant entre projets personnels, collaborations ou assistance d'artistes (programmation Arduino, Processing, Openframeworks et autre), il poursuit son exploration du monde au travers des arts et des technologies.

Depuis plusieurs années, il est performer video dans le groupe électro acide analogique Osica ( www.osica-music.com ), ainsi que dans dans le groupe Visuel Hors Service ( http://visuel-hors-service.tumblr.com ), déjà vu quelques fois sur les écrans du Dour Festival.

Ces deux projets lui permettent de cultiver une approche des machines video pure-analogique en contraste complet avec l'abstraction des processeurs compilant ses algorithmes.

Internet Yami-Ichi 5 Brussels

Log out, Turn Off, Join the fun :) 40+ artists from JP, US & EU! The mysterious collective IDPW.org invites us to perpetuate "in real life" the freedom and joyful anarchy of the early web with the Internet Yami-Ichi. The second edition outside of Japan of this post-digital flea market will take place in Brussels' Art Nouveau landmark Les Ateliers des Tanneurs!

Aphrogenea
2011

For this second "Showcase", iMAL invites Vincent Evrard to present Aphrogenea, an installation that plunges a computer into a bath of sterile oil. Kept "alive" by this unusual biotope, bits of breathing are emerging to the surface. Aphrogenea is born from Vincent's thesis Fixer les nuages which proposes a genealogy of clouds leading to the advent of the Internet.

MFF 2010 & SHARE BRU: Connected Cities
2010

"Connected Cities" features Joint Broadcasting Events that happen simultanously and interactively across the borders. For the opening of the Ars Electronica Festival, the cities of Brussels, Liverpool, Helsinki, Berlin, Budapest and Madrid will join forces and present two live broadcasted audio-visual performances. In Brussels we will couple this event to an open air SHARE BRU session where you are invited to join for an A/V jam in iMAL's courtyard.

Après le DJ et le VJ, voici le WJ ou Web Jockey. Utilisant le dispositif multi-écran wj-s d'Anne Roquigny, des artistes invités (Yannick Antoine, Michel Assenmaker, Pascale Barret, Lucille Calmel, Danny Devos, Koen Theys) et des étudiants de l'ERG vous joueront leurs performances de web remix.
